Reality Check

What is Reality Check?
It is definitely not your normal presentation for athletes and their families. The participants will be immersed in a situation they will never forget. It is personalized, interactive, emotional, and maybe...just maybe...will be the most important presentation they will experience.
If alcohol or drug use are issues within or around your team,
Reality Check may be for you.

Educational

Participants will discover the dangers of drug and alcohol use and its effect on them athletically, personally, and as a team.
Recent studies, brain scans, and testimonials will be used.

Interactive

This is not a "sit and watch" presentation. Information is shared, but a great deal of time is spent with athletes interacting with each other and their parents.

Reality Check is for athletes AND parents. Parent and Athlete interaction is essential for maximum impact.

Personalized

Each family will receive a personalized experience with keepsakes to take with them.
Athletes first and last names will be placed on keepsake.

Impactful

A safe simulation of loss enhances parents and players connection and drive to improve relationships.
Parents and athletes will be reaffirmed of positive choices they make and challenged to change negative choices.
Parents and athletes will undoubtedly know that their coaches care about them beyond their sport.

Emotional

It is important to know that your athletes and parents will most likely be vulnerable and emotional during the presentation. Tears will flow and families will grow closer.

Lasting

Because families will take multiple uniquely created items with them, the experience will transcend the the presentation time.

Call to Action

Parents and athletes will be motivated to take action to provide safe alternatives.
Coaches, parents, and athletes will all be motivated to be catalysts for future positive change in the school and community.
